This was my second year photographing for Youth Matter INC’s Martin Luther King Day event in Portsmouth, VA. It is such a upbeat and inspirational program.
Annemarie and Sean were married at St. Bede Catholic Church and held their reception at the Hospitality House in Williamsburg. Their late December wedding embraced the reds and greens of the season creating a vibrant palette. The whole wedding party, family and guests were just as animated! Because of Kara and Joe’s busy schedules we chose the best day possible for their engagement session. Unfortunately it was a freezing afternoon, but Kara’s mom offered her beautiful home in Bay Creek for a backdrop so we managed to not only have a great location, but were able to keep warm between shoots.

I was so excited when Jennifer and Scott asked to have their engagement session featuring a boat. I have wanted to photograph this type of session for a while. Partly because my husband and I took photographs in a row boat on our own wedding day and I think it’s so romantic. The fall colors […]
Nicolette is a flight attendant and met Ron who is a airline pilot at work. So when the two decided to tie the knot they wanted to incorporate their love for flying. Each guest had a boarding pass the corresponded to the airline code on each table. They had flight attendants to check everyone in and a cake with […]
Katie and Scott wanted to have two looks to their engagement photographs. So they chose Seashore State Park to get the woods and fall leaves and then the oceanfront across the street for beach shots. Katie and Scott were especially brave to wear short sleeves and flip flops on a extremely chilly day!
