I often get inquiries about what to wear for family photography shoots. It’s a good question and putting together multiple outfits that blend well and match without being “too matchy” can certainly be challenging.  I tell clients to choose solid colors or simple prints that compliment each other in colors that they like to wear. I also recommend sticking with a theme that represents the family, wether that be preppy, dressy, beachy, etc. The Peña family (below) is a great example of creating a look that goes perfect together! Check out their outfits and sweet little family below.

Katie and Neil’s wedding was beautiful in black & white and color. When I am editing a wedding I go through each photo and decide how it should be processed. I love black and white photographs as I originally learned photography in a dark room developing just that. But with digital you have the choice and most of the time with weddings – the colors are just too vibrant to ignore! That being said I always make a selection of black & white photographs. I really love some of the ones from Katie and Neil’s wedding below. There is something so timeless about a monochrome image.

Christy loves pink. So much so her dog’s name is Pinks. So it was to be expected that the color made it’s way into so many parts of the their wedding day. Even where not to be expected – like the pink rose in the garden, the actual pink dog on the tv and the fuschia hot tub in their room!
