Susan and Chris were married in the fragrance gardens at Red Wing Park, Virginia Beach. And although the fires that plagued our area for the month of June masked any chance to smell the flowers, it did create a unique fog through the trees that was kind of mysterious and romantic. This was the first ceremony I had photographed in Red Wing and I loved the large trees and green surroundings. One of my signature photographs is the bride and groom walking together in their environment, wether at the beach, city or in this case the woods. The lighting and the scene was so beautiful I could have photographed them walking until the sun went down! Afterwards the reception commenced at the Shifting Sands club on nearby Dam Neck Base.

Heather and Terry were married at Norfolk Botanical Garden in the rose garden. It is such a beautiful place to get married and even though it was one of those hot days we had this June, we found some shade to take photographs in and keep cool. I especially loved the Japanese decorations including colorful origami scattered over the tables.
K.C. and Greg had some of the most wonderful wedding details. My favorites included antique pins and charms on the boutonnieres and bridal bouquet, the decorated bride and groom wine glasses and a hawaiian shirt groom’s cake. I also love photographing church exits with rose pedals. The color always looks so great and the soft landing makes a far better experience for the bride and groom then bird seed.
The ballroom at the Princess Anne Country Club looked fantastic. I loved the seat covers with brown and green ties to match the colors of their wedding. All in all it was a unique and beautiful affair. And K.C. and Greg looked just as amazing! Thank you K.C. and Greg for giving me the opportunity to make so many beautiful photographs of you both over the past year!
