Another winter family photography session. This time at the Young Families beautiful new Bainbridge Island home. It was a picture perfect setting even in the cold. The kids made it more fun by taking breaks to just play! Of course those were the best moments to photograph. :)
Every year I get a few requests to photograph families in the winter. I’m always a little weary as my experience with working with people in the cold often means running noses, cranky kids and bulky sweaters that are often unflattering. But I understand that around the holidays is often the only time extended families get together so I usually give in and say let’s go for it. I’m happy to say that this year my winter family sessions were great! Yes, it was cold and the kids were doing jumping jacks to stay warm, but everyone was game and no unruly sweaters too boot! The first family is below – on one of the coldest mornings of 2015!
The Blodel Reserve is one of the most romantic places on Bainbridge Island, which makes it the perfect place for an engagement session! Kylie and Kyle currently live in Western Washington, but are moving back to Hawaii and getting married on the island of Oahu. So they wanted to capture the beauty of fall here in the North West while they are still here to enjoy it!
