I met Lisa at my favorite bridal session spot – sometimes it can be challenging to make a familiar location new, but fortunately every bride is unique. And different seasons make for various blooms in this garden. This time a Magnolia tree had huge flowers and made for a beautiful accessory for the bride to be.

The whole time I was editing Maria’s bridal session the same vision kept coming to mind. Vermeer’s famous painting, Girl with a Pearl Earring. Of course Maria didn’t have a pearl earring or hail from the seventeenth century, but something about her look is reminiscent of the famous work. Here is the comparison along with the other out takes of the beautiful bride-to-be.
Charlotte and David had an intimate wedding at the gazebo in Fort Monroe. The day was beautiful and they were so happy to get married and to be surrounded by their closest friends and family that nothing else mattered. Afterwards we took photographs in the surrounding area and found some really cool spots. I hope to get the opportunity to work here again. I wish Charlotte and David all the best in their new life together and the big move to AZ!
