So no this was not an actual movie set, but Julie and Colin looked like they stepped right out of the Notebook or an episode of Mad Men! So cool and it goes to show how much a bit of styling can give your own personal style to a photo session. In this case an  engagement session on Bainbridge.

Every once in awhile someone contacts me to do something a little different. In this case it was jewelry product photography for a local Bainbridge Island artist. I was excited to incorporate island elements in with her pieces and to create some lifestyle images with her lovely models! Check out some of the beautiful jewelry designs photographed below by Simplicity Gems.

This year is my twelve anniversary on becoming a professional photographer! And I still absolutely love what I do, I feel so fortunate to have found a career that gives me the opportunity to preserve memories and bring happiness to someone else’s life. I enjoy working with people and being creative. To quote my husband – “you could stare at pictures all day!” And it’s true!! So here’s to another year of photographing wonderful couples, families, homes, places, dogs, you name it!

Speaking of a new years and dogs – I volunteered my services to photographs a few pups for the Kitsap Humane Society’s annual calendar. After photographing their charity event last year I was so moved by the generosity and good will of such a great organization that I wanted to give back.
