Seth proposed to Melody on a billboard. What a cool way to get engaged! They held their wedding at the Hermitage Foundation, one of the most romantic places in Hampton Roads. There are so many beautiful nooks and crannies to take photographs in and around. Seth and Melody had chandeliers in their tent which I thought was a really classy touch. And, although it was a record breaking heat outside, everyone had a wonderful evening celebrating with the happy couple.

Kiley and Jeff were married at the Chapel by the Sea on Damn Neck Base and celebrated afterwards at the Virginia Beach Contemporary Art Center. Kiley’s dress was so unique. We had the opportunity to take some beautiful photographs of her in it before the wedding. Kiley and Jeff were both so relaxed and easy to be around, it made the whole day feel effortless. I especially loved their choreographed dances. The father and daughter was my favorite! Click on the video below to watch a slideshow of their wedding photographs.
Susan and Chris were married in the fragrance gardens at Red Wing Park, Virginia Beach. And although the fires that plagued our area for the month of June masked any chance to smell the flowers, it did create a unique fog through the trees that was kind of mysterious and romantic. This was the first ceremony I had photographed in Red Wing and I loved the large trees and green surroundings. One of my signature photographs is the bride and groom walking together in their environment, wether at the beach, city or in this case the woods. The lighting and the scene was so beautiful I could have photographed them walking until the sun went down! Afterwards the reception commenced at the Shifting Sands club on nearby Dam Neck Base.
