That's where Catie's Photography comes in...It is my goal to capture your wedding the way it happens naturally, with each photograph showing the unique feelings and settings that make your wedding memoriable. The result....Stunning wedding photographs that will allow you to relive the expereince for a lifetime. About Me - I love to make people say wow! My emphasis when photographing a wedding is about creativity, fashion and life. I want my clients to feel like their wedding photographs belong in a magazine or as a piece of art on their wall. That’s not to say that there won't be a handful of traditional photographs to keep everyone happy. My style is a mix of photojournalism and classic wedding photography leaving you with an exciting yet timeless collection of wedding photographs. Packages - All wedding photography packages include my time and talent as your photographer on your wedding day. I shoot digitally in High Resolution RAW format using top Canon SLR cameras and lenses. This allows me to take an unlimited amount of photographs. After the wedding I will process each image. This involves optimizing color, creating sepia tone and black & white photographs. Once this is complete I will upload all of your edited photographs to an online gallery where you may share them with friends and family. High quality prints and enlargements may be purchased through this service.I will also include with every package a full resolution DVD of all of the final images from your wedding. These are your wedding pictures and I believe that you should have them. Additional services such as engagement sessions, bridal portraits, enlargements, proof books, albums and more are also available. Please contact me to learn more or to set up a session. FAQ- Where is the best place to have our portrait taken? Pick a location that is represenative of your personailty. Here are a couple of local suggestions: Virginia Beach North End, Chesapeake Bay Beach, Downtown Norfolk, Red Wing Park. I also encourage you to come up with fun and different ways to have your portraits taken including renting a rowboat or taking a ride on the Hampton Carousal. Portraits may also take place at a private home. What time should we start? I start almost all of my sessions aproximately an hour prior to sunset for the best lighting. What should we wear? I recomend wearing solid colors or simple prints and to avoid wearing anything too trendy. For family groups, I would advice staying away from wearing matching outfits, but instead pick a color theme and incorporate that into different types of clothes. What happens if it rains on my reserved date? Occasionally bad weather does prohibit a portrait session from taking place. In most cases I will contact you by phone on the day of the session to confirm our appointment. If the weather does not look like it will corporate, we can move the session to a different day. How long is the turnaround time? After the portrait is complete, I will edit all of the photographs creating a mixture of color and black and white photographs. In one to two weeks, these will then be placed in an online gallery for viewing and purchase. Prints normally take another 5-10 days to arrive after ordering.
