Outdoor Ceremony Rain then Shine

Kelly and Adam had dreamed of an outdoor wedding so they booked their ceremony at the beautiful Hermitage Gardens. As with any outdoor wedding they knew that they were taking a chance with the weather. And when the morning of their wedding came it looked like it was going to be a cold wash out. Luckily it cleared up a bit and everyone was happy with overcast. Then right as their ceremony began and the bride reached the alter the sun came out for the first time and beamed across the couple. It was a wonderful wedding day gift!

Wedding at the Signature at West Neck

Ashley and John had a beach ceremony and then celebrated at the Signature at West Neck. They incorporated a lot of pink into their wedding including flowers, dresses, fans and parasols. Even the outdoor flowers were blooming pink! All in all it was a perfect day and evening.

It’s another hot one

Is it just me or does it seem to be exceptionally hot this spring-early summer? Melissa and Rob’s day at Fort Story was no exception. Still the ceremony overlooking the water was beautiful and by half way through we were saved by some clouds that rolled in to give us some shade. Of course these clouds later opened up and poured rain, but by that time the ceremony and photographs were finished and everyone was safe inside The Boot in downtown Norfolk. Well almost everyone – Melissa and Rob did have to run from the car with an umbrella, but it made for a cute photo!
