Katie and Neil’s wedding was beautiful in black & white and color. When I am editing a wedding I go through each photo and decide how it should be processed. I love black and white photographs as I originally learned photography in a dark room developing just that. But with digital you have the choice and most of the time with weddings – the colors are just too vibrant to ignore! That being said I always make a selection of black & white photographs. I really love some of the ones from Katie and Neil’s wedding below. There is something so timeless about a monochrome image.

Kim and Mike and their family and friends traveled all the way from Ohio to have a destination wedding here in Virginia Beach. I love coastal colors and beach elements and Kim and Mike did such a fantastic job incorporating all of these things into their wedding. The lighting was so pristine and Kim and Mike were so animated that I had a hard time making myself stop photographing them to let them get to their party!

I had the privilege of working two weddings recently at the Chrysler Museum. It was interesting how the space was very unique to each wedding. At Janel and Russ’s affair Michelle from Weddings by Michelle did an amazing job making everything look beautiful and helping the day go smoothly. And Dj Rodney Charles had the party going all night! One of the spontaneous moments of the evening was when Janel jumped on Russ’s back for a piggy back ride out of the ceremony!
